place in the carling cup final

i just got home from watching Man Utd vs Derby county semi final second leg.frankly speaking,it was a close win by Man Utd win 4-2.the total aggregate are 4-3.nani scored a beautiful long range effort in the 16th minute and o'shea added the score 5 minute later.meanwhile, teves scored a free header from rafael's cross and ronaldo successfully scored a late penaly in the 87th minute.

but, there are speculation that injuries had infected rafael, johnny evans and nani in this game and just pray that they're going to be alright.my man of the match would be anderson coz he provide man utd with superb pass, crossing and counter attacking.even though he had not score any goal since his arrival last season,i'm sure that that time will come for him to shine.

i've predict that Man utd will face totenham in the finals and if everything went smoothly,Man Utd will hold the second cup of the season after the world cup club championship.

i'm not trying to hate arsenal..plz dont hate me.hehe..

Arsenal Football Club has just signed (26th February) a sponsorship deal to promote Israel as a tourist destination. The £350,000 agreement makes Israel Arsenal's "official and exclusive travel destination." Israel will be featured on digital perimeter boards and 450 high-definition LCD screens at the stadium on game days.[1] The tourism ministry will also have access to the club's official website Arsenal.com, database and magazine to promote Israel as a holiday destination [2]
The televised ads will reach audiences of up to 700 million in an estimated 198 countries. The Israeli Tourism Ministry will also receive intellectual property rights, the use of the team logo and the right to use photos of the team and its players in ads. For an additional fee, Arsenal players will also appear in the ads.[3]
The deal doesn't stop with promoting Israel but actually grants Israel a physical presence in the stadium. The Israeli Tourism Ministry can use the stadium's banquet hall twice a year and can organize an exhibition at the end of the playing season.[3] The stadium will also feature permanent sales tables for t-shirts.[4]
The two-year sponsorship deal begins at the start of next football season in six months' time.
With the world boycotting Israel as a tourist destination Israeli tourism minister Abraham Hirchson admitted employing Ernst & Young financial advisers to help develop a new strategy to entice people to Israel. He estimated that the sponsorship deal will bring in an additional 2 million tourist to Israel annually.[3]
Arsenal's managing director, Keith Edelman at a press conference in Israel explained how Arsenal could help sell apartheid Israel: "We are the largest club in London and have 30 million fans around the world. We are in the forefront of the anti-racism campaign in England and have an excellent brand that can promote any product... we will assist Israel become a more popular destination". He also promised "when we find the time, club representatives and players will come to visit Israel,".[3]
A grieving father Hussein Maqanen holds a poster of his two sons killed by the Israelis.
Ibrahim was aged 14, and Adel was aged 17. Adel was killed whilst playing football.
Israeli snipers targeted him from inside a military bunker on a hill overlooking
the patch of dirt which was his football field near Khan Younis.[5]
The Jerusalem Post has hinted that Arsenal's chief shareholder, Danny Fiszman, vice chairman David Dein and managing director Edelman have used their Jewish backgrounds to steer the club towards Israeli causes including setting up football academies in Israel [3] at a time when when Palestinian children are routinely targeted by israeli snipers whilst they play football.[5]
The Israeli newspaper Haaretz confirmed this, quoting Uzi Gafni, a director of the Israeli Tourism ministry on the Arsenal deal as saying "I knew I needed someone with ties to Judaism, Edelman may not go to synagogue every Friday, but there are warm Jews at Arsenal who wanted to give something toIsrael.".[6]

the best goalkeeper ever

Full name Iker Casillas Fernández

Date of birth 20 May 1981

Place of birth Madrid, Spain

Height 1.85 m (6 ft 1 in)

Playing position Goalkeeper

Current club Real Madrid

National team Spain

Casillas is a product of Real Madrid's youth system, and started in the junior squad during the 1990–91 season, but it wasn't until 1998–99 that he debuted in the senior side, replacing Bodo Illgner, and was in Real's starting lineup the next season. In 2000, he became the youngest-ever goalkeeper to ever play in a Champions League final when Real Madrid defeated Valencia C.F. 3-0 just four days after his nineteenth birthday.
Casillas lost his spot to backup César Sánchez after a patch of bad form during the 2001–02 campaign, but Sanchez suffered an injury in the last minutes of Madrid's 2-1 2002 Champions League final victory over Bayer Leverkusen and was replaced by Casillas, who earned back the starting shirt the next season and has maintained it since. In February 2008, he signed a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2017, with an automatic extension if he plays 30 competitive matches during the final season of the contract and a buy-out clause of £128 million.
It was reported that Casillas's agent met with representatives from Manchester City but he flatly rejected it and pledged his loyalty to his hometown club.

Casillas debuted for the national team in the U–17 level. At age 16, he was the youngest player in the Spanish squad that placed third at the 1997 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Egypt.
He is currently the second-most capped goalkeeper in the history of the Spanish national team, behind Andoni Zubizarreta, who appeared in 126 matches. He won the UEFA-CAF Meridian Cup and FIFA World Youth Championship with Spain in 1999. Following his full international debut at the senior level against Sweden, Casillas was an unused substitute at Euro 2000. He was part of the roster for the 2002 World Cup, initially as the understudy to Santiago Cañizares. Coincidentally, Casillas became the first-choice goalkeeper when Cañizares had to withdraw from the tournament due to injury from a freak accident. At 21, he was one of the youngest first-choice goalkeepers in the tournament. He gained hero status when he saved two penalties in the penalty shoot-out during the round of 16 match against the Republic of Ireland.
Casillas played in all eight Group six fixtures during Euro 2004 qualifying, conceding just four goals. He kept a clean sheet in both legs of the playoff victory against Norway, and started all of Spain's Euro 2004 matches. He was first choice for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, captaining the team twice. With the exclusion of Real Madrid teammate Raúl from the squad for Euro 2008, Casillas was given the captain's armband. He started the first two Euro 2008 Group D games against Russia and Sweden before being rested in place of second-choice goalkeeper Pepe Reina for Spain's group stage elimination of Greece. Casillas saved two penalties from Antonio Di Natale and Daniele De Rossi as Spain eliminated Italy in the quarterfinals with a 4–2 shootout win following a goalless draw on 22 June. Spain later went on to win the competition with a 1–0 win over Germany in the final on 29 June; Casillas kept clean sheets for the quarterfinal, semifinal, and final matches, with Sweden's first round goal by Zlatan Ibrahimović being the last one scored against him. In his 82 appearances for Spain, he has kept 42 clean sheets.
On 29 June 2008 Casillas became the first goalkeeper-captain to lift the UEFA European Championship trophy when Spain beat Germany 1–0 in the final. One of his saves during the quarterfinals versus South Korea during the 2002 FIFA World Cup was rated by FIFA as one of the top 10 saves of all time.
Casillas placed fourth in the 2008 Ballon d'Or behind Ronaldo, Messi and national teammate Fernando Torres

Tough without Wazza

So former Reds striker Andy Cole has said that United’s forwards can keep the title at Old Trafford this year. But after crucial goals from Dimitar Berbatov and Wayne Rooney in recent narrow league victories, Cole’s belief that United’s attacking quartet (Ronaldo included) will hit top form is now threatened by injury. Rooney hobbling off after netting the winner against Wigan will disrupt a partnership with Berbatov that appeared to be edging towards perfection.Berbatov’s decisive strike at home to Middlesbrough, Wazza’s five-minute contribution against the Latics, and then a double act from the two in a glorious demolition of Chelsea has given United the chance to pinch top spot with a win at Bolton. But with Rooney set to miss up to five games, will Berbatov and Carlos Tevez be able to recreate the spark that the Bulgarian had begun to ignite with Wazza? The pair have scored just six Premier League goals between them so far this season - the same number scored by the striker whom United will have to do without for now.So why is it that I should be concerned about goals coming from a team blessed with the grace of Berbatov, the terrier-like work rate of Tevez, and the 42-goal-scoring World Player of the Year?Well, take a look at the Premier League table. Five points separate the top four, and although the unlikely sight of Liverpool at the top of the table will no doubt soon be rectified, this season's race will most certainly go to the wire.Don't rule out Aston Villa - they may not have scored five goals in a game yet like United, Chelsea and Liverpool all have, but Martin O'Neill's men have notched up four goals on an impressive three occasions.A relatively underwhelming eight goals in the last nine Premier League matches has seen United generate enough points to be well placed in their title assault, but it’s the fantastic standards set by the defence which they have to thank for the points.Nemanja Vidic has been a fearless warrior at the back, while Jonny Evans has excelled in the absence of Rio Ferdinand. But with Patrice Evra now sidelined as well, United may need to rustle the back of the net more often, more than ever.Fingers crossed that Cristiano feels like smashing some more records, that Tevez channels all that restless energy into an avalanche of goals, and that Berbatov casually wanders through defences before guiding the ball nonchalantly into the net in the games ahead. The next three weeks or so will undoubtedly be tough in Wayne’s absence, but Cole is right, United’s strikers can bring home the title.

Tevez to make Derby return

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed Carlos Tevez will be available for selection for United's Carling Cup semi-final, first leg tie against Derby County. After scoring a vital Boxing Day winner at Stoke City, the Argentine striker has not featured in the Reds' last two games against Middlesbrough and Southampton after returning to his homeland for personal reasons. After seeing his side book their place in the FA Cup fourth round following a 3-0 win over the Saints, Sir Alex revealed Tevez was due back into Manchester on Sunday evening and would be back at Carrington on Monday to prepare for the Reds midweek trip to Pride Park.

2 new RED Serbians

Manchester United close in on Serbian youngstersManchester United made a long-awaited breakthrough last night in their bid to sign Zoran Tosic and Adem Ljajic, the two Serbian youngsters, in a combined £16.3 million deal from Partizan Belgrade. The move was thrown into doubt last month because of Tosic’s wage demands and the number of agents trying to get involved in the transfer, prompting reports that Arsenal or Manchester City could hijack the deal. But it emerged last night that, after another day of negotiations, those potential snags have been overcome and that, barring a last-minute hitch, the joint move will be announced in the coming days.
